Mui Ne - Phan Rang, the ride thru Dunes and Beaches

(Có thể chuyển qua tiếng Việt bằng cách bấm vào lá cờ VN trên góc phải trang web)

Another great enduro trip we have just made, me and my son and two of my friends, after long time of discussion and preparation. Two days ride, covered approx 350km on/offroad on seaside of Vietnam, from MuiNe to Phan Rang and back.

DAY 2

2nd day of the trip, again we took it easy in the morning to wait for the lower tide

Hit the road after breakfast and coffee:

Started the day with a nice beach ride:

Then again we lost in the maze of fisher village:

We headed a bit further north to check out that area:

Hit a fishing net, and it’s really suck!

Tried to find some places for lunch in Mui Dinh:

Wandering the under-construction site:

Dinh cape will no longer natural, very soon…

My little boy still not yet be able to seat firmly on the bike Ktm500 when stopped 🙂

Found an interesting point, where a round stone sit alone at the middle of the sand:

Lunch place by the beach:

Simple food, fresh, delicious…

The boy looked like not yet so hungry 🙂

After lunch, we headed back to the main road. The KTM525 was difficult to start, probably because of some un-trusted fuel we filled along the way:

Waiting for tow vehicle:

Look who has good life now:

Up onto the main road, push started the bike and filled some more gas.

We lost in the fisher village and really hard trying to find way back to the beach.

Fresh smiles from local kids:

Gas on!!!

Near the Co Thach beach, we lost in a very beautiful landscape, really lost…:

Tried to go down to the beach:

It was a gamble to descend here, as we for sure won’t be able to climb back at this point:

Hard time not ended yet. Plenty of big rock down here, very dangerous as we do not have a skid plate:

We can enjoyed the beach for few minutes as there was a big wall of rock blocked the way. Luckily we had a small trail to ride back up the hill. Nature beach from above:

Kept searching for the way out:

Whatever, still have time for selfie…

Continue searching:

More than half an hour we found a small route going up to a pagoda on top of the hill (named Co Thach pagoda, as what we found on the map after the ride):

Kinda an empty place, as I was going around and shout for help but none reply.

We found a very small chance to ride thru the pagoda, with lots of steps and rocks and things… For sure we can apply for Hare Scramble if we can pass the pagoda that day.

Turned back for other route:

My son looked like having no worries at all, as he has he dad around:

Finally, luckily we found some locals and they guided us to the trail which went around the pagoda to exit the other side of the hill. It was pretty dark that time:

Rain all the way back…

All good after reaching the garage, but the butt, pretty sore…

What a great trip we had made. Washed the bike, washed ourselves and load all the stuff on the truck. Then we had late dinner, a simple one right there before diving back to Saigon:

Homed approx 2AM! Slept like a dog 🙂

Thanks for riding along!
